J. Adolf Kleinhans

Adolf is the son of our MD, Johannes, and continues the proud linage of wildlife ranchers and professional hunters of the Kleinhans family. Adolf has been hunting with his father from an early age, completing his own solo hunt on medium game, a Springbuck in the Karoo, at the age of eleven.

After graduating from university majoring in business development & marketing, Adolf immediately attended the prestigious Goss Estates Professional Hunting Academy to become a qualified professional hunter. His first two years hereafter was spent hunting with over fifty clients from around the globe including the USA, Canada, Mexico, the UK & Germany. During this time over two hundred trophy animals where hunted under his guidance. 

After these initial two years of hunting professionally, Adolf noticed alarming signs in the global hunting market. He relocated to Stellenbosch, a vibrant university town in the Western Cape often dubbed the “African Silicon Valley”. Here, he embarked on an ambitious mission to modernize the hunting industry. Today Adolf is the owner of KC Safari Services, Hunt Africa, Safari Filming, Let’s Hunt and HuntLink, all of which are businesses aimed at assisting the hunting & ranching industries to grow and prosper using modern technologies, proprietary software, and innovative strategies. 

Adolf remains the MD of these companies, but moved back to the family farm, Berchtesgaden, in 2022. From here, Adolf oversees Pioneer’s non-hunting travel divisions and the marketing efforts of the company. Adolf is often your first point of contact with Pioneer and a regular sight around the hunting camp as he lives only 3km’s from the lodge itself.
