Berchtesgaden is the original family estate. This hunting property in the Limpopo Waterberg biosphere, is perfect for small intimate parties, and large groups of family or friends alike. Berchtesgaden is also recognized as one of Africa’s premier bow hunting destinations. At Berchtesgaden we hunt additionally on several surrounding ranches which results in exceptional hunting success.
Battlefields is an 8’000 Hectare (20’000 Acre) hunting ground in South Africa exclusive to Pioneer clients. Aptly named after the many battles fought here during the Anglo-Boer war, this hunting area has not seen gun shots since the early 1990’s. Because of its size, we do not hunt surrounding areas when staying at Battlefields.
Other than our two primary hunting areas, we have secured several excellent concessions for each species and unique requirement. Along with all our hunting areas, we are adamant on employing world-class, experienced Professional Hunters. Our head PH has hunted all over Africa where he built and managed hunting camps, and successfully guided hundreds of international clients before partnering with Pioneer.
With its unforgiving, yet stunning landscapes, our Kalahari Desert hunting concession is known for great hunting, and truly first-class lions. In the Kalahari, you are met with extremes. Extreme in temperatures, extreme in animal size, and extreme in species diversity.
