Locally the Waterberg biosphere is known as “the place where old Africa begins”. West, East and for thousands of kilometers North stretching all the way to the Sahara Desert modern civilization has not had a chance to grab hold and visitors are welcomed to one of the wildest places on earth. Berchtesgaden is located 100km’s North of the Southern border, in the very heart, of the Waterberg biosphere reserve – compeltely surrounded by privately owned game ranches and Big 5 wildlife reserves teaming with wild game. Along with excellent hunting, this area has plenty of activities, sure to keep the loved ones entertained.
Berchtesgaden is our famliy owned estate and serves as our basecamp, and main hunting lodge. This estate is made up of two separated properties, a wildlife ranch & a working farm.
