Tour Summary:
The Royal Roosevelt is a special hunting expedition run by Pioneer Safaris in collaboration with our friends from RETZA Royal Enfield South Africa. This tour is specially designed for those with an equal passion for hunting and motorcycling. This tour is two weeks of pure bliss as you ride from our various hunting concessions in a circular route. In between each ride we will stay for a minimum of three days at a concession allowing you plenty of time to rest, and of course hunt!
With Pioneer, we have hunting tags ready to go. All species can be hunted on the spot (as per pricelist), and the limited species that can’t be hunted on the spot, can be arranged with 1 month notice. The areas we will be visiting on the Royal Roosevelt Tour is extremely diverse, and specialized species such as lions, hippo & crocodile is available. Please contact us in advance.
This epic adventure will take place in the Northern most parts of South Africa. You will tour between our various concessions riding immaculate Royal Enfield motorcycles.
Expect a week of unimaginable adventure as we take the roads less traveled on classic Royal Enfield motorcycles.
The Ride: On this tour we take the backroads wherever possible to immerse ourselves even further in the African experience. The motorbikes you will be riding are the Royal Enfield Classic 500 (500cc) and is a true journey back in time. This motorcycle is dressed in post war styling and promises to be the most coveted Royal Enfield in history. It is built for those who want it all. The power, the comfort, the reliability and simple, yet drop dead gorgeous classic styling. The vintage style combined with its strength & sturdiness ensures you will have an amazing time riding these beautiful motorcycles. The perfect combination to ride on- and off-road even for in-experienced riders.
During the Ride: We will ride an average of 250km’s per session, taking it slow and stopping wherever we feel like. An average of three days’ rest/hunting days in between each ride can be expected. We will ride between our hunting concessions in a linear route, starting at our exclusive concession Battlefields, and ending at the Pioneer Safari’s family Estate, Berchtesgaden. Following the motorbikes is the Pioneer team which includes the transport vehicles hauling all your luggage and the professional hunting guides. Also trailing in a separate vehicle is our photographer/videographer ensuring every moment is captured; he is accompanied by an experienced Royal Enfield mechanic with plenty of spare parts ensuring that whatever might go wrong, gets fixed immediately and on the spot!
At the Destinations: At each destination (5 in total), we will spend three days. During this time, we will hunt one tag per hunter as included in your package. At these various destinations hunters can expect to hunt some spectacular game. We will also be going to areas where various speciality species such as Buffalo, Lion, Crocodile, Hippo & more is available. Hunters are more than welcome to trade an included hunting tag for credit and use this towards any of these species.
